Today, I noticed that there were some discolored icicle streaks on the side of the storage room under the family room. I haven't seen them before so I'm guessing it was due to the recent snow storm that just passed.
Initially I was thinking they were just some dirt or pollen from the previous season that were dislodged recently and formed an icicle during the storm but looking at it in detail, I started getting worried because they looked like they formed from water coming down from behind the wall sheathing. That means there was water coming in from behind the siding which could potentially damage the walls.
I really had no idea where it could've been coming in from so I dismissed it as just an anomaly due to the recent winter storm. I would later find out that it was as concerning as I initially thought it would be.
