We've officially moved in and now we start by trying to get some normalcy back into our lives. I wanted to free up some space in the dining room to get the dining room table and chair set for us to use. In order to do that, I had to tackle the couch that I modified in order to get it in from the family room.
A little motivational drink is always a good start when tackling these kinds of projects. With the help of some basic hand tools, a brad nailer, some clamps and gorilla glue, I was able to get the couch back in its original form with an even stronger frame.
With the couch finally put together, and the rest of the furniture in its proper locations, I decided to let the floor breathe and remove the rosin paper.
I can finally center the dining room table and chairs after I finish up clearing up my work area and putting away the rest of the rosin paper.
I was able to also start painting the stairs wall but I'll finish that some other time once the living room and dining room is a little bit less chaotic than it is now.
Finally pieced all of them together. Now I just need to take a quick break and test out the couch and finally enjoy how comfortable it really is.
While enjoying the fruits of my labor, I didn't realize that I started to snooze off. I just woke up from my little assistant trying to tickle my feet. I was able to catch a couple of snaps with him being naughty.
Here he was with a big grin, telling me I was snoring. I guess I fell asleep while he was busy telling me a story about what he was up to all day.
He tried to bounce around a bit on the couch because he said he also wanted to make sure that I fixed it right.
My reward after the little big boss approved of my work. He said now, he can jump around the couch and thanked me.
